Yes, I organize comedy shows under the name Million Laughs! Actually I am only responsible for the GOOD things that happen - anything else is (of course) somebody else's (Sherry's) fault! I feel that there is a need for clean comedy that is actually FUNNY! I further feel that there is a need for family-friendly community service shows -- hospitals, nursing homes, etc. (Which is to say, I'm a bleeding heart do-gooder!) |

I consider this community service. Obviously, we are using this as an opportunity to try new bits, stay in practice, etc. However, we basically do this to make people laugh who might need a good laugh!
City of Hope audiences break down into four groups:
City of Hope patients hospital and Hope Village
Visitors of City of Hope patients hospital and Hope Village
City of Hope staff and docents, etc.
Guests of the performers
Groups 1 and 2 are the primary target as far as I am concerned. Our goal as volunteer performers is to entertain these people, as well as family and friends who visit them (not to speak of our overwhelming desire to simply show off!) This is where I see us accomplishing the most good.
And, hey! - the price is right! (When you come to see us at the comedy clubs, it costs $10.00-$20.00.) So come out and see us for free!!
